So it has come to this...
Let me start off by saying that I hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving. I hope you all ate much turkey and stuffing and gravy. I hope your rolls were buttery and your families put into a turkey coma... just joking, but really.
Our thanksgiving was rather busy. We had three dinners to attend and many hours to travel between. I have to admit that doing this with an infant was rather difficult. By the time we reached our last dinner with my Hubby's family she was way tired and wanted nothing more than to lie down by herself and play and roll. Needless to say she slept like a baby (quite literally!) for the hour and a half ride home.
So now I have to ask, how do you walk the line?
How do you manage to have a day full of thanks and family and then less than twelve hours later (well it seems now after the dishes are clean) go out and manage to snag the best sales for "Black Friday?"
Some people put across the idea that Black Friday is merely a day of greed and selfishness and materialism. Is it so or could it simple be a day of receiving great sales? I believe that for many this day, which sometimes causes death, is mainly a day of getting all they can. Yet, I am not totally sold on the idea that this is all it is. I think that this could possibly be a blessing in disguise. I think that this could help many who need a break in costs to provide a few nice gifts for family and loved ones.
I mean seriously, there are some GREAT deals out there!! I have been able to provide a few gifts for family already because of the great sales. So far I've spent a fraction of what I would normally spend any other day of the year! Black Friday has been super handy for this new family who is still getting used to life and all its expenses.
So how about you my friends? Does Black Friday seem like more of a day of greed and materialism or a day to receive great deals? What are your opinions about all of this? How no sooner is the soap sliding off of the clean pots and pans than people are trampling each other to grab at the latest and greatest.
So now I ask..
How do you ladies walk the line between Thanksgiving and Black Friday?
